ParEdits Video Sharing Policy
When you use the ParEdits Community, you join a community of people from all over the world. Every cool, new community feature within the ParEdits Community involves a certain level of trust. Our Community Members respect that trust and we trust you to be responsible too. Following the guidelines below helps to keep the ParEdits Community fun and enjoyable for everyone.
You might not like everything you see within the ParEdits Community. If you think content is inappropriate, send an email to [email protected] to submit it for review by the ParEdits team. Our team carefully reviews reported content as soon as possible to determine whether there’s a violation of our Community Guidelines.
Here are some common-sense rules that'll help you steer clear of trouble. Please take these rules seriously and take them to heart. Don't try to look for loopholes or try to lawyer your way around the guidelines—just understand them and try to respect the spirit in which they were created.
Nudity or Sexual Content
The ParEdits Community is not for pornography or sexually explicit content. If this describes your video, even if it's a video of yourself, don't post it in the community. Also, be advised that we won't hesitate to work closely with law enforcement and report child exploitation.
Harmful or Dangerous Content
Don't post videos that encourage others to do things that might cause them to get badly hurt, especially kids. Videos showing such harmful or dangerous acts may get removed depending on their severity.
Hateful Content
The ParEdits Community doesn't support content that promotes or condones violence against individuals or groups based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, nationality, veteran status, or sexual orientation/gender identity, or whose primary purpose is inciting hatred on the basis of these core characteristics. This can be a delicate balancing act, but if the primary purpose is to attack a protected group, the content crosses the line.
Violent or Graphic Content
It's not okay to post violent or gory content that's primarily intended to be shocking, sensational, or gratuitous. If posting graphic content in a news or documentary context, please be mindful to provide enough information to help people understand what's going on in the video. Don't encourage others to commit specific acts of violence.
Harassment and Cyberbullying
It’s not ok to post abusive videos and comments in the ParEdits Community. If harassment crosses the line into a malicious attack it can be reported and may be removed. In other cases, users may be mildly annoying or petty and should be ignored.
Spam, Misleading Metadata, and Scams
Everyone hates spam. Don't create misleading descriptions, titles, or thumbnails in order to increase views. It's not okay to post large amounts of untargeted, unwanted or repetitive content, including comments and private messages.
Threats
Things like predatory behavior, stalking, threats, harassment, intimidation, invading privacy, revealing other people's personal information, and inciting others to commit violent acts or to violate the ParEdits Community Guidelines are taken very seriously. Anyone caught doing these things may be permanently banned from the ParEdits Community.
Copyright
Respect copyright. Only post videos that you made or that you're authorized to use. This means don't post videos you didn't make, or use content in your videos that someone else owns the copyright to, such as music tracks, snippets of copyrighted programs, or videos made by other users, without necessary authorizations.
Privacy
If someone has posted your personal information or posted a video of you without your consent, you can request removal of content based on misuse of your image or voice, full name, financial information, contact information, and other personally identifiable information. When you report a privacy complaint, we consider public interest, newsworthiness, and consent as factors in our final decision.
Impersonation
Accounts that are established to impersonate another company or individual may be removed. Don’t post content on YouTube if it fits any of the descriptions noted below:
- An account that copies another account's profile or overall look and feel in such a way that makes it look like someone else's account
- Content intended to look like someone else is posting it
- Content or an account that imitates someone’s real name, user name, image, or other personal information to deceive people into thinking they are someone else in the ParEdits Community.
This policy applies to videos, video descriptions, posts, comments within the ParEdits Community. Please note this is not a complete list.
Vulgar Language
Some language is not appropriate for younger audiences. Use of sexually explicit language or excessive profanity in your video or associated metadata may lead to the removal of your video.
Inactive Accounts Policy
In general, users are expected to be active members within the ParEdits Community. If an account is found to be overly inactive, the account may be reclaimed by ParEdits without notice. Inactivity may be considered as:
- Not logging into the site for at least six months
- Not actively partaking in watching or commenting on posts within the ParEdits Community.
